Willow & Pearl is a small South African jewellery business created from a love of pearls and elegant, wearable design. I hand-assemble each piece, combining freshwater pearls, shell pearls, mother-of-pearl and carefully selected crystal and metal details. My aim is to create beautiful, affordable jewellery that feels special without being overly formal — pieces that can be worn as a finishing touch to an everyday outfit or chosen for a special occasion.
Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx, is someone I admire for turning a simple idea into a global business. I find her story inspiring because she started with an idea, faced plenty of rejection, and kept going until she made it work. Her determination and willingness to take a risk are qualities I really admire as someone building a business myself.
