MJ Jewellery is a line of sterling silver and brass jewellery and hair accessories. Both the sterling silver & brass lines is all about the beauty of simplicity inspired by faith, minimalism, timeless clean lines and nature.

It may sound hard to believe, but my journey into jewelry making was inevitable...

I’m based in the Southern Suburbs in the Western Cape. Growing up, my parents were both makers - my mother a seamstress and my father was into leatherworks so naturally you'd often find me crafting or making my own creations from offcut fabrics or bits of leather.

It made sense that I would end up following a creative venture but I haven’t always been making jewelry. After completing high school, I studied and qualified as a Social Worker. For a very long time I worked a stressful job in the NGO space and desperately needed a creative outlet to bring balance to my life. In early 2021, I stumbled on jewelry making and bought myself a jewelry hand stamping kit and some charms and beads but didn’t feel like I was making “real” jewelry. My journey to making brass and sterling silver jewelry started when I then decided to dive into teaching myself the art of metalsmithing. That's when the magic happened!

Since late 2021, I've been proudly running my jewelry business and hope to bring a little happiness into your life with the pieces I create & help you show up as the queen that you are embracing your true God-given identity!
